A Reminder from a Reece’s

Years back, Reece’s demonstrated how chocolate and peanut butter combined together, makes a great treat. The same concept is true when marketing and training organizations work together to create video content. When these groups start communicating together, your organization becomes irresistible to customers with zero calories.

Marketing:

Somewhere in your company, people are probably developing valuable video training for customers and employees. With some minor tweaks, this same content can be used in your marketing efforts. Sometimes just changing video link text from “watch our demo” to something more engaging like “See how XYZ software increases revenue” can ignite the journey to a big sale. Writing creative headlines not only encourages people to click but can really help convince customers you have the right solution for them.

Training:

At Duchin Productions, we make lots of video training content. The fact is, we love making training videos because they fill a critical need within an organization. We always encourage clients to take a few seconds up front to explain how using their solution can improve workflows and/or save costs. This helps the marketing and sales folks since you’re stating at the very beginning how your solution will make life better when they invest in your solution. All videos, including training and education content should end with active calls to action. If your training is external facing, add obvious links inside your videos for purchasing or simply for asking questions. One of our pet peeves is when CTAs aren’t up long enough for you to click on or write phone numbers down. Yes, people still use phones and customers love it when they can get questions answered quickly.

When training and marketing departments work together, they can help each other understand the needs of the user and customer base. If a client only needs a video crew for a short time, we encourage them to let other departments know should they want to capture content for a future video. It’s like a getting a two for one special and we’re always happy to do it, time permitting of course.
