Make your URLs SIMPLE!

I was looking through the local business paper today and noticed a url to an event. The organizers used some convoluted combination of numbers and letters that had zero to do with the event name. A Bilty might work as a short link within social/electronic media but for print, you should always create an easy to remember link for manually typing into a web browser. If your web person can’t create an easy to remember url/link in under an hour, then it’s time for a new web person. Of course having great content on the destination page is equally important. As always...

Is it funny?

Who doesn’t like a funny video. It’s a great way to break up a slow day and maybe even put you in a better mood. Companies frequently want to make humorous videos but it can be a slippery slope. As a business, you still have to ask yourself “How does this add value to my current and/or future customers?” Often times, what employees may think is hilarious can be a pain point or simply insulting to your external audience. Making light of a software update or your product missing some kind of functionality can quickly backfire. Another big part to introducing humor is knowing that your...

Ask Me Anything

Creating videos isn’t always easy. My clients and friends know I’m always ready to help answer questions or give advice, even if they’re not using Duchin Productions. Not every project requires the big camera and lights, sometimes I encourage people to give it a go themselves (when appropriate). Why your videos aren’t converting leads

Video can be a very powerful tool for getting new people into your sales funnel. In fact, many people discover new companies simply though a Google search when a video shows as a top result. Unfortunately, video content isn’t always taken seriously.  Frequently, companies choose to focus on internal content more suitable for employee recruitment, than customer acquisition. Does your prospect really want to watch your employees drink and play foosball on a Friday afternoon? Show prospects how you can help them solve a problem and generate more business.  Show the WIIFT (What’s in...
